The Vigelland Statues, Oslo, Norway

This won a Village Voice contest for the funniest photo ever taken

The before picture. I said "Boys, this is not quite right".

Marcel Steiner and Andy Jones getting dressed. An astonished man couldn't believe what he just saw.

It was too cold for streaking, but the boys did it anyway - the Scandinavians took it all in stride
The Madhouse Co had a week long engagement in Oslo, Norway - we had plenty of time for photos. By popular demand, it got extended for two more weeks. The girl in the show couldn't stay - she had a prior commitment - so guess who got talked into replacing her? I guess I was the only woman within a 1000 miles who knew all the lines. You start out as a photographer...

We stayed in a very cheap hotel of questionable repute. We only found out it was a brothel when it got raided in the middle of the night. The Oslo vice squad quickly surmised I was not a hooker and let me go back to sleep. I took offense - how can you tell I'm not a hooker? Not flashy enough? The people who booked us suggested alternate accommodations. No, we quite like it in a brothel.

And here I thought we were being raided for desecrating the Norwegian national monument.
